Despite of supporting Bon Iver, Mumford & Sons or St. Vincentem, Beth Jeans Houghton found a little bit of time during the last three years to work on her solo album. We'll hear about her soon.
After releasing her debut in 2009, Beth got a lot of concert offers. She didn't only have good music, but also a perfect image, which we wrote about one year ago. The schedule was busy, so she managed to release one single and an EP, but eventually she found some time to stay in a studio for a little longer. Three years break is a long break for a debutant, but we hope that Beth Jeans Houghton isn't forgotten yet. Her second album is supposed to sound much better and has been prepared with a bigger care about the technical side that when it comes to her debut.
21 years old vocalist on her "Yours Truly, Cellophane Nose" reaches not only folk vibe, but also glamrock and guitar playing from the 60's. Symphonic elements also remind us of Florence and the Machine. It's going to be interesting.
